Personal projects
My photography is a continuous work in progress: ideas, encounters and visions that become images.
For me, photography is first and foremost a way of relating to the world and to people. It is never a solitary gesture: it is an encounter, a way of getting to know each other and getting to know me, of telling stories and asking questions through images.
At the risk of repeating myself, I will premise it here as well: I am a person, and a curious photographer. I do not like to sit in any given niche and I prefer to measure myself with different genres and languages. Alongside professional work with companies and clients, I feel the need to have a wider research space. In these personal projects I can feel free to experiment, try different languages, and address themes that are particularly close to my heart: identity, gender, desire, corporeality.
These are not works designed for the market, but opportunities to better observe reality and the people I meet. Sometimes they take the form of intimate portraits, other times they become more narrative or almost documentary series. In any case, they are always part of a dialogue: with those I photograph, with those who will look at the images, and with myself.

A reflection on gender identities
What is more personal, more intimate than one’s gender identity?
Straddling biology, culture, psychology…how do we define ourselves and how do we relate to others?
It is an issue that I have felt, that I have experienced on my own skin long before it entered overbearingly into public discussion, and that still divides consciences.
Rather than making a theory out of it, however, I prefer to fix in a series of portraits the image and history of those who live their gender identity and culture in an unconventional and unobvious way…
Are you interested and want to talk about it?
This page is not a closed archive, but an ever-evolving laboratory. If you recognize yourself in these themes or have an idea you would like to develop together, write to me: photography, for me, is above all a way of making connections and shaping new conversations.
